In biology class we will be making an iMovie on the cell cycle next week. We are using whiteboards and pop beads to model the stages, then incorporating the images we capture into an iMovie.
Also, the biology students will be trying out the Chromebooks to perform a cell cycle Webquest. We are using them because the iPad's do not have flash which the websites, of course, are using.
My APES students will be building their own AP test review sets using Quizlet, it is an awesome way to build review sets.
During a microscope lab last week several students were able to capture movies of moving microscopic plankton by using the camera on the iPad and also some iPhones. Some really cool images were captured. This image is of streaming chloroplasts in an Elodea leaf, captured by Theo Wilbanks.
