TIPS FROM TEACHERS
Our Tip comes from Hannah Montanez who teaches 8th grade Social Studies.
Socrative is most often used as a formative assessment tool that tracks student responses.
While seeking another option for online assessment, I ventured into summative assessment, considering Socrative as my tool of choice. After seeking advice, I discovered that I could use Apple Classroom to lock students into the Socrative student app. Apple Classroom allows me to gain a more accurate picture of student knowledge simply because I do not have to worry about students searching for information in a tab on Safari or Chrome.

CLASSROOM SPOTLIGHT
Our Spotlight this week comes from Missi McVeigh's classroom in the 6th grade hall.
Students were studying all arthropods and focusing on the Insecta class.
The project goal was essentially to have students describe and categorize insects.
The video was to feature a specific insect or group of insects,
provide three facts, and set the mood with a specific theme and music.
